Richard Freemans favourite period of transport is the 1950's/'60's and covers most forms from heavy/general haulage through to breakdown/recovery etc, but his favourite vehicles are fairground and circus lorries. The lorries can be simple and plain, or elaborate and gaudy with their condition well kept or run down. In all forms they are great to look at, both as real trucks or models. Most pulled 2 or 3 trailers in the early days, taking the overall length up to 80 feet in some cases with the train comprising truck, packing trailer/ ride components, ride centre, living van etc. So there is lots of scope for modelling ideas and thanks to Corgi there are lots of great donor models to work on.
